Five-time champion Mumbai Indians (MI) will open its Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 23 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
MI will face CSK again, on April 20, at the Wankhede Stadium at home. Mumbai will face CSK, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad twice during the league stage of the tournament.
Last season, the Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians finished last in the standings, with eight points in 14 matches.
In the auction leading up to the tournament, Mumbai invested in some heavy firepower, with Trent Boult being its marquee signing for Rs. 12.50 crore.
Each team will play 14 matches during the league phase, which comprises a total of 70 matches. The playoffs will be held from May 20 to May 25. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will take place on May 20 and 21, respectively, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The tournament will conclude at the iconic Eden Gardens, with Qualifier 2 and the final being held in the city of Kolkata.
