PAK vs NZ: Tom Latham scores an ODI century after 27 months

New Zealand batter Tom Latham scored a One-Day International century on Wednesday after 27 months during his side’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Pakistan in Karachi.

Latham’s previous century came against India in Auckland in November 2022. He took 32 innings to reach his next hundred, which came in the Champions Trophy opener.

Among New Zealand batters, former captain Stephen Fleming holds the record for the most innings between two ODI centuries, taking 110 innings between 1998 and 2003.

The left-hander is also just the fifth Kiwi batter to record a century in the competition. Will Young became the fourth earlier in the contest with his 107.

Latham’s unbeaten 118 helped New Zealand post a total of 320 against Pakistan. New Zealand won the contest by 60 runs.
