KER 206/4 vs GUJ

VID 304/5 vs MUM

BREAKTHOUGH FOR GUJARAT RIGHT BEFORE STUMPS? Azharuddeen is trapped leg before and the umpire raises his finger. Azhar decides to opt for DRS. And the review is spot on! Ball tracking shows the ball was going down the leg. And with that, it’s stumps

Dias is in to bowl what could be the last over of the day. Rathod and Wadkar have to survive another over

Gaja is back to bowl and the new ball is taken. Kerala reaches 200 as Sachin gets a single

Gujarat loses an opportunity to dismiss Sachin! Jayswal bowled one wide outside off and turned it into the batter. Sachin leaned forward and blocked it with his pads, as he did on quite a few occasions. Gujarat players did not bother to appeal but the ball tracking showed the ball was indeed hitting the stumps!

Shardul replaces Kotian and the second new ball is taken by Mumbai. With just under 30minutes to go, Mumbai would like to capitalise on the new ball and pick a wicket or two to finish the day on a high

The second new ball is available for Gujarat but it seems they will not opt for it now. Siddharth has come in to bowl with Sachin (59) and Azharuddeen (15) in the middle

Peach of a delivery to dismiss the well-set Malewar! A flighted delivery from Mulani turned away from Malewar just enough to deceive him and take an outside edge as Akash Anand pouched it behind the stumps. Akshay Wadkar is in at seven.

Yash Rathod survives a scare at the non-striker’s end. Malewar’s straight drive took a deflection off Avasthi’s fingers and crashed on to the stumps, and it required a dive from Rathod to get past the crease. The umpire decided to go upstairs and the replays showed that Rathod was in comfortably

Just as we speak, Nagwaswalla dismisses Jalaj. Back of a length and straight, Jalaj tried to cut it late but played it onto his own stumps. Azharuddeen is the next batter in

Sachin punches one towards the point region and gets a single to reach 50. His half century has come in 132 deliveries, and includes six fours. His partnership with Jalaj is now worth 69 runs

Dube provides the breakthrough yet again as he dismisses Karun for a 70-ball 45. Short pitched, outside off, Karun tried to slap it towards covers but it took an outside edge and went into the hands of the keeper. A wicket at an important juncture. Yash Rathod is in at six

A similar scenario has unfurled at the Narendra Modi Stadium as well. Sachin and Jalaj have forged a 61-run partnership and have helped Kerala reach the 15-run mark as well. If they bat through this day, Kerala will be firmly in the driver’s seat

Malewar (60 off 123) and Karun (39 off 62) have settled down in the middle. Their partnership is now worth 72 runs off 135 balls as Vidarbha is in a comfortable position at 216/3

Kerala 143/3 vs Gujarat

Vidarbha 211/3 vs Mumbai

Malewar gets to his half century with a single off Kotian’s ball. He reached the milestone in 107 balls. His partnership with Karun as well is now worth 50 off 105 balls. VID 194/3

Bishnoi traps Jalaj leg before and starts gesturing the DRS appeal right after. The umpire was unmoved and Gaja decides to take the DRS. Ball tracking shows that the ball would’ve missed the off stump and by quite a distance. Review lost

After conceding a no ball for over stepping, Nagwaswalla bowls one short and outside off, which gets slapped hard by Sachin for a FOUR. KER 124/3

Kotian goes full and Karun whips out his reverse sweep. He reads the field setup to perfection and places the ball through an unguarded gully region for a FOUR! Malewar meanwhile is unbeaten at 43 runs off 85 deliveries

Sachin and Jalaj have stiched a stable partnership of 27 in 56 deliveries. They have taken things slow and capitalised on the occasional bad balls thrown at them

With Malewar and Karun in the middle, Vidarbha is 153/3 vs Mumbai. Meanwhile, Kerala is 105/3 against Gujarat Drinks break

Dhruv Shorey falls! Shams Mulani strikes! Sharp turn away from the batter, he tried to block it, but it took an outside edge and went into the hands of Mumbai skipper Rahane at slips. Karun Nair is in at five. VID 144/3

Priyajitsinh picks up his first as Kerala loses a wicket yet again at a crucial juncture. Short delivery angled away from the batter, Varun tried to push towards covers but edges it into the hand of the keeper. Varun departs for a 55-ball 10. Jalaj Saxena is the next batter in

Two consectuive fours from Malewar off Shardul, the latest of which coming from a full delivery bowled wide outside off. Malewar follows it up with a single off a pull shot

Dhruv Shorey (69 off 99 balls) and Maleawar have started off on a positive note after losing Rekhade right before the stroke of lunch. Their partnership is now worth 26 runs off 43 balls. VID 119/2

Varun and Sachin are in the middle for Kerala while Jaymeet starts off with the ball. KER 70/2

The game resumes after lunch with Dhruv Shorey (60 off 91) and new batter Danish Malewar in the middle. Shardul Thakur will start the session with the ball

DUBE GIVES THE MUCH NEEDED BREAKTHROUGH FOR MUMBAI! Removes th well set Rekhade as Suryakumar takes a brilliant catch at second slip. Dube has swung the ball both ways thus far and the trick has worked finally. He pitched it straight and angled it away from Rekhade, whose drive found the outside edge and went towards the slip cordon

A stroke-filled 50-run partnership from Rekhade and Shorey helps Mumbai towards the 100-run mark. MUM 89/1

Bishnoi strikes! He traps Kunnummal leg before and the umpire looks convinced. After a long consultation with Varun, Kunnummal opts for the DRS. Close call.. There’s a disturbance in the ultra edge but the ball is close to the pads. However, in the end, it’s three reds on the screen and Kunnummal has to walk back after making 30 off 67 balls. Sachin Baby is in at four

Tanush Kotian is into the attack for Mumbai. He replaces Shardul. Vidarbha on the other hand, has looked steady so far after the initial wicket of Taide. The second wicket partnership between Rekhade and Shorey is now worth 40 off 69 deliveries

Unfortunate! Kunnummal’s call for a quick run proves costly as his partner Akshay has to depart. The throw from covers fielder hits Urvil’s legs behind the stumps and ricochets towards the stumps before Akshay could make it past the crease. KER 60/1. Varun is the next batter in

The 50-run partnership is up for Kerala openers Chandran and Kunnummal, with a four by the former through the covers. KER 52/0

Rekhade survives an LBW scare and Shorey escapes from a mixup in the middle. Rekhade misses to read the angle of Dias’ delivery but luckily for him, it takes an inside edge and then crashes on to his pads. On the other side, Shorey had started to run and was half way through the pitch but got back right in time before the throw came in

Ravi Bishnoi is introduced and he replaces Priyajitsinh. The Kerala openers, although slow, have been ticking the scoreboard constantly, not letting the runs stagnate. Their partnership is now worth 43 off 98 balls

Rekhade and Shorey keep the scoreboard ticking after the setback. Shardul over pitches outside off, Shorey plays a wonderful drive past the cover region for a FOUR

Our correspondent Anish Pahtiyil from the venue: Solid opening hour for Kerala. Both openers have managed to see out the opening spells from Gaja and Nagwaswalla. The pair has managed to put away overpitched balls to the fence too. KER 33/0 in 13 overs.

Mumbai draws first blood! Dias removes Taide. Probing length just back of a length, came towards Taide, who tried to avoid it but it took a faint edge and went into the hands of the keeper! Parth Rekhade is in at three. VID 39/1 vs MUM

Dias is in to bowl his first over and he starts to create trouble. He pitches it straight and angles it away from Shorey, edged it towards the keeper but it falls just short as he plays it with soft hands. This is the second time it has happened to Shorey

Pitched towards middle and leg by Avasthi, and that’s easily put away by Shorey as he glances it on the leg side for a FOUR

Gaja bowls a rare loose delivery and gets punished. Half-tracker, wide outside off, Kunnummal moves towards the pitch of the ball and drives it past covers for a FOUR!

Full and outside off from Gaja, Akshay leans forward and hits it through covers for a FOUR! The first of the match

Taide, who bowled a maiden in the last over, starts his second with a bad delivery. Pitched straight and towards the pads of Shorey, who guided it towards the third man region for a FOUR! Avasthi hits right back with a superb outswinger, which induces an edge off Shorey but falls short of the second slip

Gaja’s inswinging delivery crashes on to Kunnummal’s legs and the umpire raises his fingers. The batter opts for the DRS without second thoughts. And ball tracking shows wickets MISSING! REVIEW RETAINED and Kunnummal survives
