The Tamil Nadu box-office is witnessing momentum this May 2025, recording a cumulative gross revenue of Rs. 110 Cr+ between May 1 – May 16, 2025. Tamil movies Retro and Tourist Family, both of which released on May 1, have a major share in this box-office contribution.
Tourist Family, in particular has been doing exceptional box-office during the weekdays, pulling upto Rs. 2 Cr+ in daily gross. For a film of Tourist Family‘s scale, this box-office pull is exceptionally consistent.
With atleast four new Tamil releases like Devils Double Next Level (Santhanam), Maaman (Soori), Jora Kaiya Thattunga (Yogi Babu), Eleven (Naveen Chandra), and international movies like Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning (Tom Cruise), and Final Destination 6: Bloodlines (Tamil dubbed) in theaters since May 16, a strong weekend is expected for the Tamil box-office.
