The United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) will begin its SheBelieves Cup campaign against Colombia at the Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas on February 20.

With the central theme of women’s empowerment, the tournament began in 2016 and had the same four nations – USA, Germany, France and England – play for the title. But over the years, more countries have joined the list, including Brazil, Canada and Colombia.

The 2025 SheBelieves Cup will be played across three stadiums in the United States of America. They are:

Four teams will play in SheBelieves Cup 2025. They are Japan, Australia, Colombia and the host, USA. Australia and Colombia are making their debut in the tournament.

The invited teams play in a round-robin format, over three match days in different cities. A team gets three points for a win, a single point for a draw, and no points for a loss.

If two teams are tied on points, tie-breakers would be used in the order of goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head result, and a fair play score based on the number of yellow and red cards.

The tournament will kick off on February 20, 2025, at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas. Japan is set to take on Australia in the first match at 5 p.m. ET, the USA will take Colombia at 8 p.m. ET.

The USWNT is the defending champion of SheBelieves Cup. It beat Canada 5-4 on penalties in the last edition’s final.

All three U.S. games will be broadcast live on TBS and Universo and streamed on Max (formerly HBO Max) and Peacock.

Non-U.S. games will also be available on Max, along with being broadcast in Spanish on both Universo and Peacock.
