Thug Life audio launch postponed in lieu of India-Pakistan conflict

“Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along the entire Western Border on the intervening night of 08 and 09 May 2025. Pak troops also resorted to numerous ceasefire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir”, said the Indian Army in an official statement on May 9, 2025.

The statement comes amidst an ongoing conflict between India, and Pakistan, which started with the April 22 Pahalgam Attack in which 26 civilians were gunned down by terrorists at a tourist spot in Kashmir in broad daylight, India blaming Pakistan for the same, and retaliating with Operation Sindoor hitting 9 terrorist camps on May 7, and Pakistan launching a drone attack on 15 Indian cities in the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, on May 8 and 9.

The Indian Army has said that the drones that were aimed at the military stations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur, and all the other threats from Pakistan were ‘swiftly neutralised’ by the defense forces. As tensions grip India due to this ongoing conflict with Pakistan, several entertainment and leisurely activities have been brought to a halt.

In the Tamil film industry, star actor Kamal Haasan has announced that the audio launch of his upcoming movie Thug Life, which was initially planned to take place on May 16, 2025, now stands postponed. The actor has also said that the new Thug Life audio launch date will be announced at a later time. Kamal Haasan’s full statement here:
