The 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League kicked off on Friday as Royal Challengers Bengaluru took on Gujarat Giants at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
In the WPL 2025 opener, the Giants equalled their highest-ever total in the history of the tournament after the side posted a total of 201 in 20 overs.
The innings was largely anchored by skipper Ashleigh Gardner’s unbeaten 79, supported by opener Beth Mooney’s half-century.
