AFG vs ENG, Champions Trophy 2025: Mark Wood goes off the field with suspected knee injury

England pacer Mark Wood went off the field due an injury during the side’s ICC Champions Trophy Group B match against Afghanistan in Lahore on Wednesday.

Wood called for the team physio to check on him during his fourth over, the team’s eighth, with a suspected injury to his left knee. Though he bowled the remaining two deliveries of his over, he walked back to the dugout after it.

The 35-year-old, however, returned to the field at the start of the 19th over, staying out of the park for 38 minutes. He came to bowl the 34th over.

Wood finished with the figures of none for 50 in his eight overs as England conceded 325/7.
