Champions Trophy 2025: Top three batters and bowlers for India heading into the final

India is set to face New Zealand in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

This will be India’s sixth Champions Trophy final and the third successive one. India would look to continue its unbeaten run going into the summit clash.

Different players have stood up in different situations during India’s journey in the tournament so far. Here are the top three performers for India with both bat and ball.

Virat Kohli at number three has been the most consistent batter for India. The fourth highest run-getter in this edition has scored 217 runs, including a stunning century against Pakistan and a crucial 84 in the semifinal against Australia.

Shreyas Iyer has been a vital cog in the wheel for India, amassing 195 runs. Shreyas has come in to bat in tricky situations and has been involved in several partnerships throughout India’s campaign. He will play a vital role with the bat in the final.

The young opener started the campaign with a sublime century against Bangladesh. Gill, along with Rohit Sharma, will look to give India a solid start in the final.

In January, Mohammed Shami made his first appearance for India since the 2023 World Cup final. Shami has picked up eight wickets so far, including a five-wicket haul against Bangladesh in India’s campaign opener.

Varun Chakravarthy played his first game of the tournament against New Zealand and had an immediate impact. He has picked up seven wickets in two games, including a fifer against New Zealand.

India all-rounder Axar has been the X-Factor with both bat and ball. While he has chipped in with useful contributions with the bat, his bowling has helped India keep things tidy. He has bowled in all phases of the game.
