France squad for Nations League quarterfinals: Mbappe back for Croatia clash; Doue gets first call up

Kylian Mbappe returned to the France squad for this month’s UEFA Nations League quarterfinal against Croatia, as Paris Saint-Germain teenager Desire Doue earned a first call-up, on Thursday.

Didier Deschamps left Mbappe out of the last two France squads for the Nations League group stage in October and November.

However, he has been in fine form for Real in recent months and has scored 28 goals in all competitions this season for the club he joined last year.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Doue has scored or set up a total of 17 goals in 23 appearances since becoming a regular in the PSG side in mid-December.

France will take on Croatia away in Split in the first leg of the quarterfinal on March 20 and the sides will clash in the second leg at the Stade de France on March 23.

The winner will advance to the final four, which will take place in either Italy or Germany in June.
