Real Madrid injury news: Nature of Dani Ceballos’ leg wound revealed
Real Madrid confirmed that midfielder Dani Ceballos has sustained an injury to the semimembranosus muscle with involvement of the tendon in his left leg on Thursday.
Los Blancos‘ injury woes continue to deepen this season, with the Spanish, who was unable to finish Copa del Rey semifinal first leg match against Real Sociedad with a leg injury.
The Spanish giants released a statement on social media about the nature of the wound but yet to announce any further information.
“Following tests carried out today on our player Dani Ceballos by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semimembranosus muscle with involvement of the tendon in his left leg. Pending evolution.”
Ceballos was in a lot of pain after colliding knee-to-knee with Takefusa Kubo during last phase of the match and was helped out of the pitch by Madrid’s medical staff.
The 28-year-old was limping and at some point he also hide his face with his shirt to conceal his tears.
It is yet to confirmed how long Ceballos will have to spend on the treatment table.
