Rishabh Pant nominated for Laureus World Comeback Of The Year Award
Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant was nominated for a Laureus World Sports Award 2025 in the ‘Comeback of the Year’ category on Monday.
On December 30, 2022, Pant suffered a near-fatal car crash while driving from Delhi to Roorkee. The accident occurred when he dozed off and hit a divider on the road. The car caught fire immediately.
He suffered right knee ligament damage, wrist and ankle injuries, back abrasions and cuts on his forehead.
Pant played his first match after recovering from the accident during IPL 2024, when he came out to bat for Delhi Capitals in its match against the Punjab Kings on February 20.
