Argentina became the first CONMEBOL team and the seventh overall team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup after Bolivia and Uruguay played out a goalless draw in the 14th round of qualifiers. It also beat rival Brazil 4-1 to extend its lead at the top to 31 points in 14 outings.
Ecuador, Uruguay, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Colombia occupy the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth spots, respectively, for direct World Cup qualification.
Venezuela holds the seventh spot for an intercontinental playoff, with Bolivia close behind.
