Sunrisers Hyderabad recorded the second-highest total in the history of Indian Premier League during its IPL 2025 opener against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.
Powered by a sparkling hundred from Ishan Kishan, SRH posted 286/6 against a hapless Royals bowling attack. The home team fell short of the all-time record by just one run.
In IPL 2024, SRH recorded 287/3, the highest total in IPL history, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad against the Mumbai Indians.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru held the record before SRH when it posted 263 runs against Pune Warriors India in Bengaluru in 2013.
SRH is also third in the list, having posted 277/3 against Mumbai Indians in 2024 season.
