Manush Shah, Diya Chitale win Mixed Doubles title at WTT Tunisia 2025

Manush Shah and Diya Chitale won the Mixed Doubles title at the WTT Contender Tunisia 2025, beating Japan’s Sora Matsushima and Miwa Harimoto 3-2 in the final on Saturday.

The third-seeded Indian pair won 11-9, 5-11, 14-12, 3-11, 11-6 after clinching a straight-games win over Tunisia’s Wassim Essid and Egypt’s Hana Godawhere in the semifinals.

Manush also reached the men’s doubles semifinals with Manav Thakkar but lost 11-8, 7-11, 11-8, 9-11, 10-12 to Germany’s Benedikt Duda and Andre Bertelsmeier, missing a match point in the final game.

In singles, qualifier Chitale’s run ended with an 11-8, 6-11, 7-11, 9-11 loss to Germany’s Sabine Winter in the Round of 16, after beating Manika Batra in the previous round.

Harmeet Desai also exited in the Round of 16, losing 11-9, 9-11, 8-11, 1-11 to Japan’s sixth seed Hiroto Shinozuka.
