Praveen Chithravel equals his own triple jump National Record at Federation Cup
Triple Jumper Praveen Chithravel equalled his own National Record during the Federation Cup in Kochi on Thursday.
The 23-year-old Chithravel recorded a jump of 17.37m at the Maharaja College Stadium, to go level with the mark he set in 2023 at the Prueba de confrontacion event in Havana, Cuba.
With this effort, Chithravel also secured qualification for this year’s Asian Athletics Championships and the World Athletics Championships.
The Tamil Nadu jumper set the mark with his second jump at the Federation Cup, before withdrawing from the competition.
