Romario Shephard of Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Saturday notched up a half-century in 14 deliveries, the joint second-fastest in the Indian Premier League history.
KL Rahul and Pat Cummins are the other batters to register fifties off 14 deliveries. Yashasvi Jaiswal holds the record for the fastest half century, getting there in just 13 deliveries.
Shepherd’s effort was the fastest fifty of the 2025 IPL season, eclipsing Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s 17-ball half century for Rajasthan Royals against the Gujarat Titans.
The West Indies batter’s innings got RCB to 213 runs against Chennai Super Kings at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The all-rounder helped RCB accumulate 54 runs in the final two overs of the innings, scoring four boundaries and six sixes.
