RCB vs PBKS, IPL 2025: What is the cut-off time for a five-over match after rain delay?

The Indian Premier League 2025 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday was delayed due to rain.

The toss for the contest was scheduled for 7 PM IST but was delayed due to a steady drizzle. Hence, the start of play, scheduled for 7:30 PM IST, was also delayed.

According to the IPL playing conditions, a fixture starting at 7:30 PM IST is expected to finish at 10:50 PM IST. Further, an additional 60 minutes are allowed for a game. Hence, the cut-off time for a five-over match is roughly around 10:50 PM IST.

For Friday’s match, the cut-off time has been decided at 10:56 PM IST. In addition, the overs will be deducted starting 8:30 PM IST.

In case play is not possible due to inclement weather, both teams will share one point.
