Vaibhav Suryavanshi scores second-fastest IPL hundred during RR vs GT
Rajasthan Royals’ Vaibhav Suryavanshi hammered the second-fastest hundred in Indian Premier League (IPL) history during a match against Gujarat Titans on Monday.
The 14-year-old reached his century off just 35 balls, launching a six off Rashid Khan to get there.
It is now the fastest IPL hundred by an Indian batter.
Suryavanshi also became the youngest player ever to score an IPL century, at just 14 years and 32 days old.
Only Chris Gayle, who took 30 balls, has scored a quicker hundred in the tournament.
Suryavanshi was finally bowled off a yorker from Prasidh Krishna for 101 off 38. The 11 sixes Suryavanshi hit are the highest by an Indian in an IPL innings.
