Amorim promises better days ahead after forgettable debut season at Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim promised better days for the club ahead, after its 2-0 win over Aston Villa in its final Premier League game of the season on Sunday.

“I know you are really disappointed with me and the team. Secondly, I want to say thank you. We are very grateful for your support this season. I know it was really hard to support. And now, we have to make a choice because this season is now in the past,” Amorim said.

“We fight each other, or we stick together and move forward. Six months ago, in my first three games in charge, with two wins and a draw, I had told you that a storm was coming.

“Now after this disastrous season, I want to say that good days are coming. If there is one club in the world that can prove that it can overcome any disaster in the world, it is Manchester United,” he added.
