BCCI invites applications for new title sponsor

BCCI invites applications for new title sponsor

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday invited applications for a new title sponsor for the Indian cricket team.

“Board of Control for Cricket in India announces the release of the Invitation for Expression of Interest for National Team Lead Sponsor Rights,” the board said in a statement.

The change comes after Dream11 informed the BCCI that it would no longer be able to continue as sponsor, following a parliamentary law that banned real-money-based online gaming.

Dream11 had a US$44 million (approximately Rs 358 crore) deal with the BCCI running from 2023 to 2026. Together with My11Circle, another fantasy sports platform, the two companies contributed nearly INR 1,000 crore to the BCCI through sponsorship of the Indian cricket team and the IPL.
