Bhubaneswar to host Asian Table Tennis Teams Championships

India will host the the 28th ITTF-ATTU Asian Table Tennis Teams Championships at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar from October 11 to 15.

The announcement was made by Table Tennis Federation of India on Saturday, with the event set to bring Asia’s top paddlers to the Odisha capital.

Odisha had earlier hosted the 2019 Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships in Cuttack, but this will be its maiden Asian-level TT event.

In last year’s Asian Championships, which was held in Kazakhstan, the Indian men’s and women’s teams clinched bronze medals in their respective events. Moreover, the pair of Ayhika Mukherjee and Sutirtha Mukherjee won a historic bronze medal in women’s doubles.
