East Bengal and Gursimrat Singh Gill mutually part ways

East Bengal and Gursimrat Singh Gill have mutually agreed to part ways, the club said on Thursday.

Gursimrat joined East Bengal in July 2023 on a three-year contract, but he failed to find a consistent place in the starting 11 over the years, playing just nine times for the Red and Gold across all competitions.

“East Bengal FC and Gursimrat Singh Gill have mutually agreed to part ways. We thank Gursimrat for his dedication and services to the club, and wish him the best in his future endeavours,” said East Bengal in its official statement.

Gursimrat’s younger brother, Prabhsukhan, also plays for East Bengal and is the No. 1 goalkeeper for the Kolkata giant.
