East Bengal mutually parts ways with forward Diamantakos

Greek forward Dimitrios Diamantakos has mutually parted ways with East Bengal, the Indian Super League (ISL) side announced on Monday.

“Dimitrios Diamantakos and East Bengal FC have decided to part ways by mutual consent. We would like to thank Dimi for his services during his stint with the club,” the club said in a statement.

Diamantakos, who signed for the Red and Golds in June last year on a two-year deal from Kerala Blasters FC, played 32 times for the Kolkata club across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and bagging four assists.

At the international level, Diamantakos was part of the Greek squad that finished runner-up in the 2012 UEFA European U-19 Championship and represented Greece’s senior national team in five matches.
