India thrashes China 7-0 in its last Super 4s clash and reaches the final in style, where it will face defending champion Korea. 

India comes close to scoring its eighth as Dilpreet gets in a good position inside the circle but the ball is intercepted before he could reach it. 

Shilanand has a chance to grab his second of the match as he shoots at goal from inside the circle but the effort is saved by the Chinese keeper. 

Goal (Abhishek) – Shilanand’s pass from inside the circle finds Abhishek. Despite being under pressure, he has the composure to turn, making space for himself, and get a shot away. The shot is hard and low, and the Chinese keeper Wang has no chance to get a touch as the ball thuds the net. 

Goal (Abhishek) – Sukhjeet shows exquisite control of the ball as he penetrates the Chinese defence. With Abhishek in support, it is a 2 vs. 1 situation for the Chinese keeper. Sukhjeet generously passes the ball to Abhishek who puts the ball inside the net with the easiest of finishes. 

The final 15 minutes of this Super 4s contest starts!

India leads China 5-0 as the third quatrter comes to an end!

Goal (Sukhjeet Singh) – Another wonderfully worked-out goal by India. Dilpreet makes his way inside the circle from the left and finds Sukhjeet with the cutback. It is not the easiest of receives for Sukhjeet, who takes a tumble but expertly gets a low shot away while down to find the bottom right corner of the net. 

Goal (Rajkumar Pal) – Shilanand crosses the ball towards the middle from the left. Dilpreet gets a stick to the ball, which takes it away from the Chinese keeper. Rajkumar is there at the far post to capitalise as he taps down the ball inside the net for India’s fourth. 

Dilpreet gets the ball at the edge of the circle and shoots at the goal. The shot has elevation, but it is a comfortable height for the Chinese keeper who parries the ball over.

Mandeep gets the ball inside the circle on the left. He tries to find Abhishek in the middle with a cross but the Chinese keeper Weihao Wang punches the ball away before the ball reaches Abhishek. 

India leads China 3-0 as the third quarter gets underway at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir.

Mandeep, Dilpreet and Shilanand among the goals as India leads China 3-0 at half time. 

A lot of space for both teams right now to carry the ball forward. Right now, both teams are relying on long balls inside the opposition circle. 

By the look of things, the Indians have well and truly settled into the match, and it is just because of the three-goal margin, but the fluidity of hockey from Craig Fulton’s men. This result will take the Indians to the final where they will face defending champion Korea. 

Goal (Mandeep Singh) – India successfully converts from another penalty corner. Harmanpreet’s shot is blocked, with the ball going to Vivek. Vivek shoots and the Chinese keeper manages to make a save but not clear the ball to safety. With the loose ball dangerously close to goal, Mandeep is quick to capitalise as he pokes it in from point-blank range for India’s third goal of the match. 

India leads China 2-0 as the second quarter gets underway at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir.

Goals from Dilpreet Singh and Shilanand Lakra keep India 2-0 ahead vs China as the first quarter comes to an end. 

China is not able to have a prolonged spell of possession, and all the momentum is with India right now. And the boisterous Rajgir crowd is surely helping fuel the Indian players as they motor on. 

Jugraj finds himself with space and tries to find Rajkumar on the right in order to put the Chinese backline on the back foot but the weight of the pass is a bit too heavy and the ball goes out of play. 

Goal (Dilpreet Singh) – India gets a penalty corner and capitalises on it. The injection reaches Harmanpreet, whose shot is weak. But China fails to clear the ball yet again and Dilpreet takes full use of the opportunity to poke the ball inside the net. 

Goal (Shilanand Lakra) – India’s early attacking surge bears fruit as it gets an early lead. China fails to clear the ball inside its circle and Shilanand Lakra is in the right place at the right time to lash the ball inside the net from close distance. 

The India vs China Hockey Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s match is underway at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir.
