Jackson not to return to Chelsea, Bayern agrees loan for striker – Reports

Bundesliga club Bayern Munich on Monday agreed on a season-long loan for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, according to reports.

It will be a loan deal until 2026 with an obligation to buy with the German club and Jackson having already agreed a five-year contract. Bayern will cover Jackson’s gross salary of €8 million during the loan.

Jackson had stayed in Germany in a bid to revive his aborted loan move to Bayern after the deal was initially called off at the last minute by the London club on Saturday due to its injury problems.

Blues striker Liam Delap will be sidelined for up to eight weeks after suffering a hamstring problem in Saturday’s win over Fulham, while England forward Cole Palmer is also out due to a groin injury.

With Christopher Nkunku having joined AC Milan this week, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca would be left with Joao Pedro as his only fit senior striker if Jackson were allowed to leave.
