Jude Bellingham set to undergo shoulder surgery after FIFA Club World Cup

Real Madrid could miss out on one of its key midfielders in the early stages of the 2025-26 La Liga season, with Jude Bellingham expected to undergo shoulder surgery.

According to reports from The Athletic, the England midfielder is expected to have the procedure after the FIFA Club World Cup next month.

The 21-year-old dislocated his shoulder during a match against Rayo Vallecano back in 2023. Although he finished the game, he ended up missing four matches afterwards for both club and country.

He has been playing with a shoulder support to manage the issue and nursing the injury for almost his entire Real Madrid career.

After pushing the surgery for the last few years, Bellingham is expected to get some rest after the Club World Cup and sit out the first few weeks of the next season.
