List of US Open women’s champions in Open era: Sabalenka wins back-to-back titles

Aryna Sabalenka became the 12th woman in the Open era to win multiple U.S. Open titles after her victory over Amanda Anisimova in the final in New York on Saturday.

World No. 1 Sabalenka beat Anisimova 6-3, 7-6(3) to join Chris Evert, Serena Williams, Margaret Court, Steffi Graf, Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova, Kim Clijsters, Tracy Austin, Monica Seles, Venus Williams, Justine Henin and Naomi Osaka on the list of women with more than one titles at Flushing Meadows.

Sabalenka is also the first woman since Serena (2012-14) to successfully defend her crown at the last Major of the season.
