PKL 2025: Puneri Paltan tops PKL table; Haryana Steelers edges U Mumba in tie-breaker
Puneri Paltan catapulted itself to the top of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 table with a commanding 45-36 win over Bengal Warriorz, before Haryana Steelers notched up its first victory of the campaign in a dramatic tie-breaker against U Mumba at the Visakhapatnam Viswanadh Sports Club on Wednesday.
Puneri Paltan extended its unbeaten run with a third straight win, powered by skipper Aslam Inamdar’s all-round brilliance and Aditya Shinde’s sharp raiding. Vishal Bhardwaj added to the dominance with a High Five, ensuring that Devank Dalal’s 17-point effort for Bengal Warriorz went in vain.
The result pushed Paltan to the top of the standings, while Bengal Warriorz slipped to sixth place.
Led by the brilliance of skipper Aslam Inamdar, alongside Aditya Shinde and Vishal Bhardwaj, who got a High Five, the Paltan made Devank Dalal’s 17 points on the night go in vain.
Puneri Paltan is now top of the table, while Bengal Warriorz sits in sixth place.
In the second match of the night, Haryana Steelers held its nerve to edge U Mumba in the season’s third tie-breaker, sealing the contest with a 46-45 win.
Ajit Chouhan’s Super 10 and Naveen Kumar’s decisive Super Raid kept the Steelers in the hunt before Shivam Patare’s match-winning strike in the tie-breaker clinched the victory.
Despite the loss, U Mumba remains third on the table, while the Steelers sit 10th due to an inferior score difference.
