Punjab Kings announces Rs. 2 crore fundraising campaign for flood relief efforts
Punjab Kings has launched a crowdfunding campaign aimed at raising Rs. 2 crore to support flood relief efforts in Punjab.
The franchise has announced that it will partner with Hemkunt Foundation and Round Table India in its ‘Together For Punjab’ effort to support flood relief in the region.
As a part of the effort, the IPL franchise will contribute a sum of Rs. 33.8 lakh itself.
The funds will go towards providing inflatable rescue boats, medical support for emergencies, and delivery of essential relief supplies and clean drinking water to affected individuals.
The initiative comes as northern India has suffered heavy rain and floods over the past few days, resulting in severe damage to lives and property.
