Real Madrid to be without Ancelotti in FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Carlo Ancelotti will leave Real Madrid at the end of the regular season, following the La Liga match against Real Sociedad, the club announced on Friday.

“Real Madrid CF and Carlo Ancelotti have reached an agreement to end his tenure as Real Madrid manager. Our club wishes to express its gratitude and affection to one of the greatest legends of Real Madrid and world football,” the club said in a statement.

Ancelotti, 65, is the most successful manager of Real, having won 15 trophies over six seasons at the club. The Italian leaves the La Liga side on May 24 to join the Brazilian men’s national team two days later.

His exit means Real will be without the Italian for the FIFA Club World Cup, set to be played next month.

“Carlo Ancelotti is now forever part of the great Real Madrid family,” the club’s president Florentino Pérez said.

“We are proud to have enjoyed a coach who has helped us achieve so much success and who has also represented the values of our club in an exemplary manner.”
