Ryan Gravenberch sent off in Liverpool vs Crystal Palace as Reds end season with 10 men

Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch was shown a straight red card for bringing down Daichi Kamada minutes after the hour mark in the Premier League match between Liverpool and Crystal Palace on Sunday.

As a result, the midfielder, recently named the Premier League’s Young Player of the Year, will miss the first three league games of the 2025-26 campaign — unless the decision is overturned.

A similar incident occurred in 2023 when Premier League champion had a red card suspension overturned.

Alexis Mac Allister’s tackle against Bournemouth, initially given as a straight red and resulting in a three-game ban, was retroactively reduced to a yellow card, lifting the suspension.
