Women’s Asia Cup 2025: India thumps Singapore to top Pool B

India qualified for the Super 4 stage of the Women’s Asia Cup 2025 hockey tournament with a thumping 12-0 win over Singapore at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium on Monday.

India’s win was set up by hat-tricks from Mumtaz Khan and Navneet Kaur. The massive win margin also lifted India to the top of Pool B, ahead of Japan on goal difference.

India earned the upper-hand in the first quarter, as it put four goals past the opponent with Mumtaz opening the scoring in the second minute.

India added three goals in the second quarter and four in the third before closing off with one goal in the final phase.

The Indian side started the tournament with a convincing 11-0 win over Thailand, before playing out a thrilling 2-2 draw against Japan in the second game.
