East Bengal drawn in Group B of AFC Women’s Champions League

East Bengal was drawn in Group B in the AFC Women’s Champions League draw held on Thursday.

Placed among the Pot 3 teams, East Bengal will be joined by China’s Wuhan Jiangda WFC, Iran’s Bam Khatoon FC and Uzbekistan’s PFC Nasaf as the Indian club prepares to play in the continental tournament for the first time in its history.

East Bengal qualified for the group stages after beating Phnom Penh Crown 1-0 and drawing 1-1 against Kitchee SC in the preliminary stages.

Also known as the Moshal Girls, East Bengal is the defending champion of India after it won the Indian Women’s League, which made it eligible to participate in the AFC Women’s Champions League.
