Madharaasi: Rajinikanth Showers Praise on Sivakarthikeyan Over A Phone Call

Actor Sivakarthikeyan is on cloud nine after receiving a phone call from none other than Superstar Rajinikanth, to appreciate the actor’s performance in Madharaasi. Sharing his excitement, Sivakarthikeyan revealed that Rajinikanth showered him with praise for his performance and action sequences in the AR Murugadoss directorial, that released in theaters on September 5, 2025. 

 

Sivakarthikeyan took to X to share the Superstar’s words, “My god, excellent! What a performance! What actions! Super super SK! I liked it very much. You’ve become an action hero. God bless, God bless.”

 

 

Sivakarthikeyan inturn expressed his gratitude and love towards the veteran star by stating, “Just received the appreciation for #Madharaasi from my idol, my Thalaivar #Superstar @rajinikanth sir 😍 Heartfelt wishes from my #Thalaivar, along with his trademark laugh..Love you Thalaivaaaaa ❤️❤️❤️❤️”.

 

Also starring Rukmini Vasanth, Biju Menon, Vikranth, Vidyut Jammwal, Shabeer Kallarakkal, among others, Madharaasi has Anirudh Ravichander for music, and Kevin Kumar for action. Madharaasi follows the story of a troubled young man named Raghu (Sivakarthikeyan) with a psychological disorder called Fregoli delusion, taking creative inspiration from Charlie Kaufman’s Anomalisa (2015)

 

Raghu is recruited by an injured NIA officer (Biju Menon) to infiltrate a ruthless arms syndicate spreading gun culture in Tamil Nadu — forcing him to battle both his delusions, and deadly criminals (Vidyut Jammwal, Shabeer Kallarakkal) in a high-stakes fight for redemption and love.
